Liquor in India Kills 156

In India 156 people have died because of bootleg liquor tainted with lethal chemicals. About 135 people are in the hospital recovering from the poison. This happened because all liquor shops in India have been shutdown because of an upcoming election. Many times politicians will bribe people to vote for them by giving them free alcohol. Since all the liquor stores were shut people began making bootleg alcohol. Police are trying to determine what chemicals were put into the alcohol to make it so deadly. Incidents like this are actually frequent in India especially in villages and towns. Many bootleggers spike the alcohol with pesticides and methyl alcohol to make it stronger, but too much of this can be lethal.
