Your choice of PSA from the ones we watched in class?

My favorite PSA was the one with christina aguilera singing Amazing Grace and holding her son wrapped up in American flag. I liked it biggest it grabbed your attention from the beginning and it was a really simple and beautiful PSA that got the message across really well. I also though the cinamatography, imagery, and music was really powerful, and it made the PSA stick in my mind.

Journal: if you were 18 nwho would you vote for?

If i were 18 i would definitly vote for Barack Obama. I think he can bring the country together and fix many of the issues we are having such as the economy, ending the war, healthcare, and creating renewable energy. I also think he can represent and restore the image of America to the rest of the world, because one thing the bush administration did was isolate and create bad feelings to other countries. Overall I really like Obama and would vote for him, and believe he would make an amazing president.

What Makes an American?

I think a typical American would be someone who is in the middle class, watches baseball, eats fast food, ect. I think being an American is very different from most cultures in the world. I also think being an American is having rights such as freedom of speech, and equality no matter sex, race, religion. there are a lot of freedoms that americans have, which are sometimes taken for granten because in some countries there is not freedom of speech, and people can not speak against their governments. Also being an American means diversity of different races and cultures.
