Vocabulary: week 11


metamorphosis - A striking change in appearance or character.
I chose this picture of a butterfly, because the word metamorphosis means to change, and that is what happens when a caterpillar becomes a butterfly.


loquacious -To talk a lot.
I chose this picture because it shows two people talking on the phone, and this symbolizes the word loquacious.
nihilism -An act of terrorism, or anarchy.
I chose this picture because it shows someone who is an anarchist, and that is an example of nihilism.

obsequious - To get impress or get people to like you by flattery.

oligarchy -A political system governed by few people.

quotidian -Occurring or recurring everyday; daily.

reparation -Compensation.

tempestuous -Characterized by violent emotions or behavior.

tautology - A logically valid propositional logic.

supercilious - Having or showing arrogant superiority; disdainful.

fatuous - Devoid of intelligence.

apathy -An absence of emotion or enthusiasm.
